Giant sunflowers are a trip – aren’t they? I plant a few each year bordering the vegetable garden. Their comical size and vibrant color brings a smile to the face of anyone who spies them over the fence and the bonus is they become a sort of gourmet feeding station, after their eye-catching strength and color has faded, for birds and squirrels alike. An entirely different life emerges at that point, solely to sustain yet another…it’s a beautiful cycle.
